Chair massage

Chair massages are often used for events and corporate settings, as they require little space and preparation. This practical solution is perfectly suited to professional environments.

A session usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. However brief, it is surprisingly effective. Just a few minutes are enough to provide deep relaxation, helping to reduce stress, anxiety and muscular tension. Concentration and creativity can also be enhanced.

The chair is particularly well-suited to address problems associated with office work, prolonged sitting, posture and repetitive movements. It can effectively help relieve pain in the shoulders, lower back, between the shoulder blades, wrists and arms. This approach can also be beneficial for specific pathologies such as tension headaches, buffalo hump, tendonitis, capsulitis, bursitis, epicondylitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Although massage of the lower limbs is not the primary use of the chair, some massage therapists are comfortable massaging them in this position.

The techniques used come from different types of massage, such as Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu, etc. These approaches, usually practised on a table or floor mat, are adapted to work on a chair. A variety of manoeuvres are employed: effleurage, percussion, pressure, mobilization and stretching, creating a complete therapeutic experience. Each massage therapist adds their own personal touch, using a unique combination of these techniques according to their expertise and training.

For some people, especially those with reduced mobility, the seated position represents an interesting and comfortable alternative for receiving a massage. This accessibility makes chair massage an inclusive option, adaptable to individual needs.
